Mumlava Waterfall — how to get there
From Szklarska Poręba you reach Mumlava Waterfall by car on national road no. 3 via the Jakuszyce – Harrachov border crossing, or by train on line 311 to Harrachov. From Harrachov a blue-marked trail follows an asphalt road to the waterfall — about 1–2 km, depending on where you start.
By car
Harrachov is a dozen or so kilometres from Szklarska Poręba. Take national road no. 3 through Jakuszyce and across the border to Harrachov, then leave your car in one of the village car parks — see the parking page.
By train
Railway line 311 runs from Szklarska Poręba Górna via Jakuszyce to Harrachov and on to Kořenov. Check the timetable before you travel, for example on the Koleje Dolnośląskie website.
Coming from Jelenia Góra? According to the town’s notice of 31 August 2026, replacement buses run instead of trains between Jelenia Góra and Szklarska Poręba Górna from 31 August to 24 October 2026. An earlier notice gave different dates, so confirm with Koleje Dolnośląskie.
On foot from Harrachov
A blue-marked trail leads from Harrachov to the waterfall along an asphalt road, so it works with a pushchair or a bike. The regional Krkonoše portal puts the waterfall about 1 km above Harrachov; Czech Wikipedia says about 2 km from the centre.

- There is no national park entry fee on the Czech side of the Giant Mountains.
