Car park on ul. Turystyczna in Szklarska Poręba (behind Netto)

The municipal car park at ul. Turystyczna 10 in Szklarska Poręba (behind the Netto supermarket) costs 5 PLN per started hour for a car or a van with up to 9 seats; a coach pays 25 PLN for the first hour and 20 PLN for each further hour, up to 200 PLN per day. Charges apply 24 hours a day, every day of the week.

Where exactly is this car park?

It lies at ul. Turystyczna 10, behind the Netto supermarket, on the edge of the centre of Szklarska Poręba. On the municipal parking map the town calls it “Parking centrum 1”. From here you can walk to the promenade on ul. 1 Maja, to the Kamienny Krąg stone circle and to the lower station of the Szrenica cable car (the town gives about 700 m). The approach to the red trail up to Hala Szrenicka also starts nearby.

What does it cost and how does the barrier work?

You take a ticket at the barrier when you drive in and pay before leaving at the automatic machine — unlike the town’s other car parks, this one accepts cards. After paying you have 15 minutes to leave; after that a further charge is added.

  • Car or van with up to 9 seats — 5 PLN per started hour. Parking from 9:00 to 12:00 costs 15 PLN.
  • Bus or van with more than 9 seats — 25 PLN for the first hour, 20 PLN for each further hour, no more than 200 PLN per day.
  • Lost or damaged ticket — 200 PLN. Towing or moving a badly parked vehicle — 150 PLN plus costs.

Rates as set by resolution no. XXXI/363/26 of 28 May 2026, in force since 1 July 2026 (as of September 2026, parking rules on the town website (opens in a new tab), in Polish).

Which vehicles are allowed and who parks free?

The rules for this car park (Annex 2 to resolution no. XV/187/25) allow motorcycles, cars, vans, lorries up to 3.5 t and buses; other vehicles may not enter. The car park is unguarded but monitored by CCTV and open around the clock.

One important difference from the other municipal car parks: there are no exemptions here. Electric cars pay, drivers with a disabled parking card pay, and the “Moja Szklarska Poręba” resident pass is not valid here. A disabled parking card still has to be displayed behind the windscreen. According to OpenStreetMap (unofficial data) the car park has about 104 spaces, including 6 for disabled drivers; the town does not publish the number of spaces.

When is this the right choice?

It is one of three places where the town map explicitly allows coach parking, and the only municipal car park with an automatic pay machine that takes cards. The town also marks a public toilet here. If you are heading for the Kamieńczyk Waterfall and the forest car park by national road 3 is full — or you would rather not start at the trail section closed since 16 June 2026 — this is the natural alternative. The Szrenica cable car is also close by.
