Car park by the Szrenica lift in Szklarska Poręba
The municipal car park on ul. Turystyczna in Szklarska Poręba, near the lower station of the Szrenica cable car, costs 1 PLN per half hour, 8 PLN for the first hour, 7 PLN for the second and third and 6 PLN for the fourth and each further hour. The charge applies 24 hours a day, every day of the week.
Where exactly is this car park?
The car park covers plots 531, 533 and part of plot 532 on ul. Turystyczna in Szklarska Poręba; the town resolution lists it in §1 point 3. On the municipal parking map it is labelled “Parking przy wyciągu na Szrenicę” — the car park by the Szrenica lift. From here you are closest to the lower cable car station at ul. Turystyczna 25a, to the Szrenica Ski Arena slopes and to the red trail up to Hala Szrenicka.
The town map marks two further parking points in the same area, under the working names “Parking przed wyciągiem 1” and “Parking przed wyciągiem 2”. They cannot be matched to specific points of the resolution, which lists car parks by plot number rather than by name.
What does it cost?
- Half an hour — 1 PLN.
- First hour — 8 PLN, second and third 7 PLN each, fourth and each further hour 6 PLN.
- Bus or van with more than 9 seats — 25 PLN for the first hour, 20 PLN for each further hour, no more than 200 PLN per day.
Three hours, for example from 9:00 to 12:00, cost 22 PLN (8 + 7 + 7). The rates are set by resolution no. XXXI/363/26 of 28 May 2026, in force since 1 July 2026 (as of September 2026, parking rules on the town website (opens in a new tab), in Polish).
How do you pay and who parks free?
You pay at the parking meter, which takes coins only and gives no change, or in the MOBILET or City Park App apps. Leave the printed ticket behind the windscreen. Electric cars park free here, as do drivers with a disabled parking card using the marked blue bays. The town map also allows coach parking at this car park.
What if it is full?
The cable car operator states that there are both paid municipal and private car parks by the lower station, and at weekends, on public holidays and during the summer holidays it advises looking for spaces along the one-way ul. Urocza. Neither the town nor the operator publishes the rates of the private car parks — you will only see them on site. A cheaper alternative is the car park on ul.
