Municipal car parks on ul. Urocza in Szklarska Poręba
The town resolution lists two paid car parks on ul. Urocza in Szklarska Poręba. The standard municipal tariff applies: 1 PLN per half hour, 8 PLN for the first hour, 7 PLN for the second and third and 6 PLN for the fourth and each further hour, 24 hours a day on every day of the week.
Where are these car parks?
Ul. Urocza is one-way and runs in the area of the lower Szrenica cable car station and the Mineralogical Museum. The town resolution lists two paid car parks along it: §1 point 9 (plot 790/4) and §1 point 10 (plot 585). The resolution gives plot numbers only, so we have not verified on the ground exactly where the car park on plot 585 lies — follow the signs and the parking meters when you get there.
Close by are the Mineralogical Museum, the Wesoła Górka sledging hill at ul. Urocza 2 and the lower station of the Szrenica cable car.
What does it cost?
- Half an hour — 1 PLN.
- First hour — 8 PLN, second and third 7 PLN each, fourth and each further hour 6 PLN.
- Bus or van with more than 9 seats — 25 PLN for the first hour, 20 PLN for each further hour, no more than 200 PLN per day.
Two hours cost 15 PLN here (8 + 7). The rates are set by resolution no. XXXI/363/26 of 28 May 2026, in force since 1 July 2026 (as of September 2026, parking rules on the town website (opens in a new tab), in Polish).
How do you pay and who parks free?
You pay at the parking meter, which takes coins only and gives no change, or in the MOBILET or City Park App apps. Leave the ticket behind the windscreen. Electric cars are exempt, as are drivers with a disabled parking card using the marked blue bays.
When is this a good choice?
The cable car operator writes about “several dozen paid parking spaces along the one-way ul. Urocza” and recommends looking here at weekends, on public holidays and during the summer holidays, when the car parks by the lower station are already full. If you would rather stand closer to the lift, see the car park by the Szrenica lift.
