Car park at Szklarska Poręba Huta railway station
The municipal car park at Szklarska Poręba Huta station costs 1 PLN per half hour, 8 PLN for the first hour, 7 PLN for the second and third and 6 PLN for the fourth and every further hour. The charge applies 24 hours a day, every day of the week, including Sundays and public holidays.
Where is this car park?
It lies by the Szklarska Poręba Huta railway station, in the western part of town in the Kamienna valley — the area you drive through when entering Szklarska Poręba from Piechowice. The town marks it on its parking map as “Parking PKP Huta”.
Why park here?
This is a good park-and-ride point: from the station you can take a train towards Jakuszyce and on to Harrachov instead of hunting for a space at the mountain attractions. What does it cost and how do you pay?
- Car or van with up to 9 seats — 1 PLN per half hour, 8 PLN for the first hour, 7 PLN for the second and third, 6 PLN for the fourth and each further hour.
- Bus or van with more than 9 seats — 25 PLN for the first hour, 20 PLN for each further hour, no more than 200 PLN per day.
Three hours in a car cost 22 PLN (8 + 7 + 7). You pay at the parking meter — coins only, no change given — or in the MOBILET or City Park App apps, and leave the ticket behind your windscreen. Are weekends different?
No. The municipal parking rules require payment around the clock on every day of the week, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Some map services state that the charge here applies only at weekends — that is secondary data and it contradicts the resolution. Follow the signs on site and the town’s own information rather than community maps.
Electric cars are exempt, as are drivers with a disabled parking card using bays marked with a blue box. The car parks are managed by MZGK, ul. 1 Maja 53C, phone 75 717 23 56 (office Mon–Fri 7:00–15:00).
