Where to go

Head for Sobieszów, a district of Jelenia Góra at the foot of Chojnik hill. The map below shows the castle’s location. There are paid car parks near the trails in Sobieszów; the castle’s website does not publish their rates.

Which trail?

  • Red — longer (about 1.9 km) and gentler; signposted 30 minutes, realistically about an hour.
  • Black — shorter (about 1.6 km) and steeper; signposted 45 minutes, realistically about an hour.

Many visitors go up one trail and down the other. Wear sturdy shoes — the path is rocky.
