Zakręt Śmierci — how to get there

To reach Zakręt Śmierci, drive from the centre of Szklarska Poręba along ul. Granitowa, ul. Dworcowa and ul. Armii Krajowej towards Świeradów-Zdrój — this is the Sudeten Road (regional road 358), a few minutes’ drive. On foot, the black and yellow trails lead here.

By car

From the centre of Szklarska Poręba take ul. Granitowa, ul. Dworcowa and ul. Armii Krajowej towards Świeradów-Zdrój. The bend is on the Sudeten Road (regional road 358), with free parking right beside it.

On foot

  • Black trail — the loop around Szklarska Poręba passes the bend.
  • Yellow trail from Szklarska Poręba Dolna — from the railway station via Zbójeckie Skały and past the old pyrite mine adit.

The town route “#nawycieczkę z widokami” (9.6 km, about 3.5 hours without breaks, moderate) runs from the centre on the red trail to Wysoki Kamień, then on the yellow trail via Zakręt Śmierci and Zbójeckie Skały to Szklarska Poręba Dolna station, returning by train. The town rates it fine with a baby carrier and a dog, but not with a pushchair.
