The municipal car park on ul. 11 Listopada in Szklarska Poręba costs 1 PLN per half hour, 8 PLN for the first hour, 7 PLN for the second and third and 6 PLN for the fourth and each further hour. Where exactly is this car park?
The car park is on ul. 11 Listopada in Szklarska Poręba, near the Dolina Szczęścia ski slope and the Osiedle Leśników housing estate. It is worth knowing that the town resolution lists two separate municipal car parks on this street — plot 130/1 (§1 point 1, as worded by resolution no. XXII/244/25 of 30 October 2025) and plot 133/3 (§1 point 2), both in cadastral district 0004 — while the municipal parking map shows a single point in this area. The same tariff applies to both, so for drivers the price is identical.
What does it cost?
The standard municipal tariff applies:
- Half an hour — 1 PLN.
- First hour — 8 PLN.
- Second and third hour — 7 PLN each.
- Fourth and each further hour — 6 PLN each.
- Bus or van with more than 9 seats — 25 PLN for the first hour and 20 PLN for each further hour, no more than 200 PLN per day.
Five hours on the slope therefore cost 34 PLN (8 + 7 + 7 + 6 + 6). For a whole day the 24-hour pass at 50 PLN works out cheaper. Rates as set by resolution no. XXXI/363/26 of 28 May 2026, in force since 1 July 2026 (as of September 2026, parking rules on the town website (opens in a new tab), in Polish).
What is within walking distance?
This is the nearest municipal option for the Hauptmann House at ul. 11 Listopada 23, as the museum lists no car park of its own. The Dolina Szczęścia ski slope is next to it, and further along ul. Muzealna you reach the Karkonosze Museum and Dinopark. Note: if you are only going to Dinopark you do not need to pay here — the park has its own free car park about 300 m from the entrance.
How do you pay and who parks free?
The parking meter takes coins only and gives no change, so the MOBILET or City Park App is often easier. Leave the ticket behind the windscreen. Parking without paying brings an additional charge of 200 PLN, cancelled if you show that you paid within 15 minutes of the ticket expiring. Electric cars are exempt, and so are drivers with a disabled parking card using the marked blue bays.
