Leśna Huta glassworks in Szklarska Poręba
Leśna Huta is a small glassworks at ul. Kołłątaja 2 in Szklarska Poręba where you can watch glass objects being formed by hand from molten glass. It is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00, and a show lasts about 30–40 minutes.
What will you see at Leśna Huta?
Leśna Huta combines traditional glassmaking craft with a visitor experience. During a show you watch glassmakers working with hot glass and shaping it. Every piece here is made by hand.
What workshops are there?
Workshops are open to children, teenagers and adults, and you leave with a keepsake you made yourself:
- “Na gorąco” (hot glass) workshops,
- glass engraving,
- jewellery making,
- seasonal bauble decorating.
Workshop prices do not include the admission ticket.
When should you come?
- The glassworks is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00–18:00.
- There is a break from 14:00 to 14:30; the last show before the break starts at 13:30.
- The last show of the day starts at 17:20.
Is it a good idea on a rainy day?
Yes — the shows take place indoors. Afterwards you can visit the factory shop with hand-formed functional and decorative glass, open 10:00–18:00.
